We visited Bali Animal Welfare Association (BAWA) and learned about its mission, the challenges it currently faces, and the ways people can help. At the moment, BAWA is struggling primarily with funding, which is essential for paying staff and securing a new facility for the animals in their care. BAWA was founded in 2007 by Janice Girardi and has been dedicated to protecting and improving the lives of animals in Bali ever since.

Supporters can help by donating through BAWA’s website or by sending much-needed supplies. BAWA also works in partnership with many other organisations that are committed to animal welfare across Bali.
In addition to rescue efforts, BAWA provides vital medical care such as sterilisation programs and also runs educational initiatives. BAWA urgently needs support to ensure that animals in Bali continue to receive the care and protection they deserve.

Their organisation is located in JL. A. A. GEDE RAI NO. 550 LODTUNDUH, UBUD, GIANYAR, BALI, 80571 View more information on their website!
